Screen NYC-centric Sundance Shorts in Your Cubicle

The Sundance Film Festival kicks off Friday with a gang of New Yorkers. You can catch some of their films without buying a plane ticket, starting at midnight. At iTunes, you’ll be able to download almost all of the fest’s shorts, but follow this link for a ten-film sampler. Half are by New Yorkers: three by NYU grads (Andrew Okpeaha MacLean, Dee Rees, and Justin Nowell) plus two by Randy Krallman and Kenneth Tin-King Hung, whose “Because Washington Is Hollywood for Ugly People” we already — ahem — included in our roundup of the year’s best online video.
