America’s Critics Unanimously Declare ‘Semi-Pro’ ‘Semi-Funny’

How’s the new Will Ferrell movie? Not so good, apparently. Semi-Pro currently ranks a 46 on Metacritic and a 25 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with some calling it only semi-decent and semi-coherent. Mostly, though, as punny critics from the New York Post, Rolling Stone, USA Today, the Village Voice, the Daily Mail, the Charlotte Observer, Canada’s National Post, the Modesto Bee, the Denver Post, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Las Vegas Weekly, the Flint Journal, Metromix Chicago, the San Luis Obispo Journal, Orlando Sentinel, and Beliefnet all point out, it’s only “semi-funny.” Since everything else out this weekend looks semi-craptastic, though, we can probably still expect it to make a semi-buttload of money.
