Artist Keith Edmier Gloriously Re-creates Kitchen of His Youth

The press shot for Keith Edmier’s exhibition, for which he has precisely re-created the kitchen from his suburban family home, shows a sparkling blonde woman in lemon-colored housewife garb, smiling as she pulls a box of Popsicles from a fridge stocked with whipped cream, mayo, and milk. Such luxuries are left to the imagination in the actual show, on view at Friedrich Petzel Gallery through April 12. Of course, this also leaves room for other imagined scenarios from all those seventies childhoods hued in mustards and browns. May the happy-memories fairies be with you. —Emma Pearse
