You Didn’t See It Theaters. Just Rent ‘Drillbit Taylor’

We won’t go so far as to chastise you for missing the Seth Rogen co-penned Drillbit Taylor in theaters. But we’ll gently prod you toward its DVD release, not as much for Owen Wilson’s endearingly pathetic turn as an ex–Army Ranger turned bully-bodyguard as for the kids: the portly Troy Gentile and the beanpole Nate Hartely, rehashing Superbad’s screwup-good-kid best-friend dichotomy with every ounce of that film’s genuineness. Oh, and one deeply satisfying, totally insane final fight scene.
