How Good Is the World’s Greatest Guitar Hero Player Anyway?

The front-page story in yesterday’s “Arts & Leisure” was on Rochester, Minnesota’s Chris Chike, the world’s greatest Guitar Hero player (much to the amusement, we’re sure, of Conor Oberst, whose feature was on page 21). Chike made his name by scoring a perfect 100 percent on Dragon Force’s “Through the Fire and Flames,” Guitar Hero III’s most difficult song. How hard is that, exactly? If you’ve not yet seen the above video (warning: Language is NSFW), check it out and ask yourself why clowns like Michael Phelps are hogging the world’s supply of Olympic gold medals.
