Phish, the influential jam band who captivated the hearts and bowls of innumerable nineties wanderers, have announced that they will be reuniting publicly for the first time in four years at a trio of concerts in Virginia in March. The quartet had previously reunited for a private performance at the wedding of their former road manager last month, and mentioned an intention to play more shows together in a recent interview with Rolling Stone. Though the group has only formally announced a set of shows at the Hampton Coliseum — the setting of their best-selling live album Hampton Comes Alive — they have also promised additional dates in 2009. This is surely much to the delight of thousands of boarding-school-grads-cum-professionals, who are probably digging up their old cassette tapes and putting in requests for some serious
touring vacation time at this very moment.
