Great news! Hollywood.com has acquired box-office number-comparer Paul Dergarabedian’s firm, Media by Numbers, for an “unspecified cash payment” that will likely make him wealthy beyond all human comprehension (we can only imagine how difficult it must’ve been to negotiate a purchase price with the only person in Los Angeles who knows which numbers are bigger than other numbers). Dergarabedian, who’ll stay with the company, couldn’t be reached for comment, but if he had been, we imagine he’d have said something like, “It is clear to me that I have sold my company to Hollywood.com for an unspecified cash payment.”
