Big as they blew up last year — Riot went platinum — Tennessee pop-punkers Paramore are about to take things to another level with “Decode,” the Twilight soundtrack’s lead single. If the connection to the upcoming teen vampire flick — which is already precipitating stampedes — weren’t enough, the song itself suggests adorable flame-haired singer Hayley Williams might be bidding for Evanescence front woman Amy Lee’s spot as top rock-balladeer, goth division. And Williams, all soaring despair, just about pulls it off, too. In the end, though, we hope she hasn’t ceded all her lapsed-Christian spunk to such smoothly cinematic sounds.
