Artist Tessa Farmer Kills Tinkerbell

Tessa Farmer's Little Savages (detail) (Fairy attempting to ovi posit in roof of fox's mouth) (2007).

Tessa Farmer’s fairies are made of dead insects and live on twisted plant roots and animal carcasses — fairies that live on the wrong side of the track, more the playthings of a Guillermo del Toro Ofelia character than someone Peter Pan might hang around with. See four new macabre works at Spencer Brownstone Gallery through December 13.
