We’re sad to report that layoffs at Variety yesterday claimed longtime deputy editor Anne Thompson, along with 30 others. Thankfully, her excellent blog, Thompson on Hollywood, will continue, though none of this bodes well for the trade it’s currently a part of. [Thompson on Hollywood via Defamer]
