Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy, and Marion Cotillard to Help Christopher Nolan Delay Batman 3

Secrets: Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard, and Ellen Page are in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio in the cast of Christopher Nolan’s top-secret project Inception. There are still no details on the plot besides the description that the movie is a “contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” So, uh, Murphy’s definitely not playing Scarecrow in this one? Holy Megan: Megan Fox is joining Mickey Rourke in the previously announced Passion Plays. This time, we’ve got some plot details: Rourke plays a down-and-out trumpet player in fifties L.A. who attempts to save Fox from a gangster. Also, Fox plays an angel who works at a carnival, somehow. Cure the Rourke-Fox offscreen romance rumors! [HR]

HBO Goes Behind the Scenes: Robert Evans will produce a six-hour HBO mini-series on Sidney Korshak, the Hollywood player who died in 1996. Korshak, whom Evans calls “the godfather’s godfather,” would get things done through his contacts with the mob, politicians, labor leaders, and in Hollywood. When Evans was producing The Godfather, Korshak got Al Pacino out of the other film he was then under contract for and settled down the real-life mobsters threatening Evans for making the movie. Furlong Gets a Job: Edward Furlong will join Billy Zane and Kristanna Loken in Janjaweed, a drama about American journalists confronting atrocities in the Sudan directed by … well, there’s only one way to say this, so we’re just gonna say it: Uwe Boll. Furlong’s also slated for another Boll movie, the prison flick Stoic. We guess there are worse things for an actor than just being unemployed. [The Most Dangerous Nuge: CMT has ordered eight episodes of reality competition Runnin’ Wild … From Ted Nugent. The batshit-insane show will have Nugent training contestants on surviving in the woods — and then chasing them down with his 18-year-old son, Rocco. No word on whether or not the Nuge gets to kill you once he finds you. And, oh yes, the Nuge will find you. Also, we like how the ellipses sort of sets up the possibility the show will be continued down the line with some other maniac ex–rock star hunter as the predator. [Variety]

Elba Island: Idris Elba is in talks for the comic-book adaptation The Losers. Co-starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and directed by Stomp the Yard’s Sylvain White, the movie revolves around a team of black-ops commandos who seek vengeance after barely escaping a death trap set by their own government. Elba will play one of the commandos, a pleasant-sounding fellow named Roque. [Variety]
