New Inglourious Basterds Footage Reunites Us With an Old Bastard

If your TiVo is anything like ours, it probably cried uncle as soon as Lil Rounds finished another nap-inspiring performance on American Idol last night, cutting off the brand-new footage of Inglourious Basterds that hapless celebrity mentor Quentin Tarantino brought with him. It’s nothing that will change your mind if you didn’t like the first trailer, but in it we learn that Tarantino has slyly paid homage in Basterds to yet another forgotten, critically unloved cult film — 1999’s Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me — by casting Mike Myers as a relative of his famous character Fat Bastard.
