Was J.J. Abrams Mocking Shatner With Star Trek’s Beastie Boys Song?

For as much as the blogosphere seems to have enjoyed J.J. Abrams's new Star Trek movie, one thing being nitpicked is the film's weird use of the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" during baby Kirk's car-chase scene (it made sense to us, since by the twenty-fourth century we figure the world will finally have forgiven To the 5 Boroughs). Yes, probably. Click to watch the hilarious evidence. (Not writing the guy a part was mean enough, J.J. Abrams!)
