Despite a rapturous reception for the trailer and a thumbs-up from nerds for its presentation at Comic-Con over the weekend, some are still worried that Spike Jonze's once-troubled movie adaptation of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are might somehow manage to screw up the author's original vision. So, again, Warner Bros. has trotted out poor Sendak to reaffirm his support for the film, in this new Wild Things featurette. According to the man himself, "What I've seen him do is, he's turned it into his without giving up mine ... He's touched me very much." You know what? We believe him. Now, if only he could promise us the same thing about the makers of the Wild Things video game.
