Jay-Z Set to Play Benefit Show on 9/11

By

As a means to pay tribute to those whose lives were lost on 9/11, Jay-Z is planning to play a concert at Madison Square Garden that evening, a concert in which 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the New York Police and Fire Widows ’ and Children’s Benefit Fund. Not so coincidentally, that day also marks the release of his new LP, The Blueprint 3, as well as the eight-year anniversary of The Blueprint's release. And if you can't make it out that night, the concert will be broadcast live on Fuse. [Rock & Roll Daily/Rolling Stone]
