Conservative Radiohead fans still coming to grips with Thom Yorke's appearance on the Twilight 2 soundtrack may want to take a few deep breaths before reading the following sentences (or the above headline). On his blog last night, Yorke announced the formation of the new live band with which he'll play material from his 2006 solo album, The Eraser, at a pair of upcoming Los Angeles concert dates. The group includes Beck drummer Joey Waronker, percussionist Mauro Refosco, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich — and sock-penised Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea! (See them all tuckered out after a vigorous rehearsal in their first publicity photo, above.) We totally support this, since the songs from Eraser could definitely use more slap bass.
