Cornwell Sues Accountants Who Lost Her Money

When crime novelist Patricia Cornwell put financial firm Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP in charge of her money, she thought they'd protect it. Or worst case, lose a little bit. Instead, they lost $40 million. But instead of concocting a creative and mysterious way of killing the accountants who hosed her, which is what she does for a living afterall, Cornwell is suing. Among her complaints: an executive used her money to cut his daughter a $5,000 check for her bat mitzvah. [The Daily Beast]
