My pick — Salvador Dali and Alfred Hitchcock’s dream sequence from Spellbound. Dali’s vision didn’t include the usual swirling whirlpool that clues the viewer that we’re in a dream sequence. Instead, he employed great special props like a giant scissor and miniature pianos suspended from the ceiling.
