Bye Bye Birdie to Close in January

The Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie, best known around these parts for uniting Bob Saget, John Stamos and Don Rickles for an impromptu comedy routine, will shut down on January 24, two weeks later than originally expected. Despite bad reviews, the show has attracted large audiences, just not large enough to keep it going into the spring. Maybe it was the singing. [Variety]
