Despite all his years in the business, Daniel Day-Lewis doesn't quite have the suave red-carpet look down. But that seems to be his intention — his style is as eccentric and varied as the roles he plays. He loves his fedora, but a close look reveals it to be a Ben Sherman number with a black-on-black, Cosby Sweater-esque pattern. High-waisted pants evoke a pinstriped ring master. A western-style shirt features embroidery has him looking like a toreador. The sartorial flourishes overwhelm his more conservative looks — it's hard to judge him in a normal herringbone coat, for instance, when we suspect there might be something ridiculously flamboyant underneath.
