Despite all that’s happened so far, says Nikki Finke, Conan’s representatives are still lobbying Jeff Zucker to let O’Brien remain the host of the Tonight Show at 11:30 (while also working towards a settlement that would free him from the network should that not pan out). NBC would like to put this whole mess behind them today, but Conan’s people figure they can only gain from dragging this out longer.
