A 90-second teaser trailer arrived today for Oliver Stone’s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, in which Michael Douglas returns as Gordon Gekko, who’s released from prison and returns to the finance world to torment Shia LaBeouf, who plays his daughter’s stockbroking fiancé. Others are complaining about the doom-y, unfun-seeming premise and hilarious dialogue, but here’s our problem: Why does Hollywood keep putting LaBeouf on motorcycles? Has anyone ever looked funnier on a bike? It was implausible enough when he used them to escape robots and Cate Blanchett in Transformers and Indiana Jones 4, but are we really meant to believe he commutes to his job as a broker on one, too?
