Betty White Upgraded to Starring Role on Sitcom

Betty White is basically the hottest actress in Hollywood right now. After signing on for a guest spot on ABC’s The Middle and earning a hosting gig on a special episode of Saturday Night Live in May hosted by “Women of Comedy,” White is now going to be fronting her own television series. White was only supposed to guest star on the pilot of TV Land’s upcoming original sitcom Hot in Cleveland, but the show's producers apparently felt White was “so good in the role” (she plays the “snarky owner” of a L.A. home rented by three women), they had to offer her a regular starring role. Expect news that White is replacing Katherine Heigl on Grey's Anatomy by the end of the week. [Variety]
