Gaga and Beyoncé Tie Mariah’s Record With ‘Telephone’

As "Telephone" moved to No. 1 today on the Nielsen radio airplay charts, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé both tied Mariah Carey's record for six No. 1 songs. All six of Gaga's songs to reach the chart — "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "LoveGame," "Paparazzi," "Bad Romance," and now "Telephone" — have made it to No. 1. Beyoncé has also tied the record, but she cannot match Gaga's pace, taking nearly seven years to do what Gaga did in sixteen months. In other news out of Gaga today, the singer is adding a second U.S. leg to her Monster's Ball Tour in July, August, and September.
