Last night Stephen Colbert provided the "Oh Snap!" moment of the evening when he shut down Republican superflack Mary Matalin mid-argument. His rebuttal was so perfect that it made her completely drop her line of reasoning and complement him, which is no small victory. In a less concise, but no less effective takedown, Jon Stewart did most of his show as Glenn Beck, ranting, crying, and generally giving Beck a taste of his own medicine. On The Tonight Show Jay Leno interviewed the E*Trade baby about Linsday Lohan's recent lawsuit and, surprisingly, the baby turned out to be kind of a jerk. Finally, Jimmy Fallon broke a record for the Universal Record Database (basically a twee version of the Guinness book): "largest bloody mary garnished with a late-night host."
