Love Never Dies, But It Can Be Revised

After getting trashed by hard-core fans while in previews in London, Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber's new sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, received poor reviews from critics. The noxious buzz has caused some theatergoers to wonder if the show will really open, as planned, at the Neil Simon Theater on Broadway this fall. An executive with the production tells the Times' Patrick Healy that Love is still on track for a fall opening, but says "some changes from the London production [are] likely." [ArtsBeat/NYT]
