Who Wants a Guttenberg-less Police Academy Reboot?

So it has come to this. Last night, New Line announced plans to reboot the Police Academy franchise with original producer Paul Maslansky onboard. Steve Guttenberg, who played Cadet Mahoney in the original series, mentioned an in-the-works reboot to The Sun in 2008, announcing that "everyone from the original movies who is still around will return." But it doesn't sound like Maslansky's so sure: "It's going to be a new class. We hope to discover new talent and season it with great comedians," he says. "It'll be anything but another movie with a numeral next to it. And we'll most probably retain the wonderful musical theme." Admittedly, the theme song is pretty bangin', but it's still not Police Academy without the Goot. Who's going to send the new recruits to the Blue Oyster Bar?
