Though doctors are hopeful he’ll make a full recovery, Bret Michaels has suffered a setback in his condition, according to the latest update to his official website tonight. Hospitalized since Thursday following a brain hemorrhage, Michaels — who remains in critical but stable condition — is now suffering from hyponatremia, an abnormally low level of sodium in one’s body fluids, which can lead to seizures. “With further testing and rehabilitation, [doctors] are hopeful that Bret will gradually improve as the blood surrounding the brain dissolves and is reabsorbed into his system, which can be a very painful recovery and take several weeks to months,” the statement says.
