Kal Penn is, as expected, leaving his White House job to go back to Hollywood (though who knows, maybe it was a one-year gig to begin with.) He’ll join John Cho in A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, which now has a director, Todd Strauss Schulson. Despite multiple reports that the next H&K3 will come out this Christmas, it’s slated for 2011 or 2012, because movies are not made and put out that fast unless they’re Valentine’s Day.
