The Broadway bow of Love Never Dies, the sequel to Phantom of the Opera, has been postponed until the spring of next year while Andrew Lloyd Webber recovers from "post-operative problems" following his treatment for prostate cancer. With or without Lloyd Webber's health issues, the show was unlikely to debut in the United States as originally planned. Following mostly lackluster reviews, it has been widely speculated that Love Never Dies would be reworked for Broadway. Webber hasn't publicly acknowledged that changes would be made to the production, but it looks like he'll have some time to think it over while he recuperates. [ArtsBeat/NYT]
