No release date has been set, but Lucasfilm’s Steve Sansweet has confirmed that a “very full set” of all six Star Wars films will be released on Blu-ray in “the not-too-distant future.” Sansweet promises a generous portion of extra material, such as previously unseen daily set footage, but it’s unclear whether the movies will be tweaked once again for this edition, this ties in with the planned 3-D theatrical rereleases, or the set will include the original theatrical versions of the classic trilogy.
