Sad news today: Supergrass have broken up after seventeen years and six terrific albums. In a statement, the band said: “Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. We still love each other but, cliché notwithstanding, musical differences have led to us moving on.” With the Libertines back together and Blur recording new music, we suppose this is just the Law of Conservation of Britpop restoring order to the universe.
