B.o.B. Has the No. 1 Album in the Country

As expected, B.o.B.’s debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, owned the top spot of the Billboard 200 in its first week of release. The standard “record sales don’t really mean anything anymore” disclaimer is boosted here by Bobby Ray only selling 84,000 copies (and this being the third straight week where the No. 1 album sold in the country of less than 100,000 copies), but still: From just another mixtape rapper to No. 1, in a shade under three years. B.o.B.: the Vampire Weekend of hip-hop. [Billboard]
