Gandolfini To Potentially Return to TV in HBO's Taxi

James Gandolfini may be acting in a HBO series once again - but this time instead of smoking cigars and ordering hits, he’ll be the one taking directions. The actor is one of the executive producers attached to HBO’s adaptation of the French Canadian series Taxi 22, which is being developed as a potential starring vehicle for the Man Who Was Tony Soprano. The half-hour comedy - which will be written by Dave Flebotte (Desperate Housewives, Will & Grace) - revolves around a politically incorrect New York City cab driver, the role Gandolfini would play.
