Lost Ratings Don’t Totally Reflect All the Fuss

Despite the fact that Lost is all anyone can talk about this morning, the ratings for the series finale were only very good, not great. The episode had a 9.0 rating [Update: better known as 13.5 million viewers], which means 67 percent more people watched the episode than watched last season’s finale. But, as EW explains, a 9.0 is what Desperate Housewives got last year for its finale, or, Lost is not more important to Americans than the ongoing, dramatic happenings on Wisteria Lane. Weird.
