The Simpsons Salutes Ke$ha, for Some Reason

We had naïvely hoped that after Ke$ha's disastrous SNL performance last month that our days of having to type her silly name might be numbered. Then this happened. Last night's episode of The Simpsons skipped its usual credits in favor of a version of Ke$ha's "TiK ToK," with Lisa Simpson, Groundskeeper Willie, and other Springfieldians lip-synching. Despite the music, it's pretty delightful. As far as we can tell, though, this is the first time Danny Elfman's theme has been replaced with a contemporary pop song, so it's slightly baffling that would have chosen this one to make history with.
