There Is a TV Awards Show Now Specifically for ‘Very Special’ Episodes

Well, technically the Television Academy Honors — going down for the third year this Wednesday at the Beverly Hills Hotel — celebrates “television with a conscience.” In practice, though, that seems to largely mean message episodes: This year’s honorees include a racial-profiling episode of CSI, a disability-prejudice episode of Glee, and an assisted-suicide episode of Private Practice.
