Conan Inspires TBS to Think It Can Act Like a Major Network

TBS is paying Conan something north of $10 million a year, and now it wants to get paid in return. The cable network is asking advertisers buying time against Conan to pay, gasp, the same rate they paid when Conan was on NBC! Media buyers seem fairly confident that this price gouging will not come off, saying, “It's insanity,” "He's a high-priced property that they clearly overpaid for," and "They're not going to get it." Nice try, greedy little TBS. [NYP]
