And they are: Reno 911's Thomas Lennon, Machete's Danny Trejo, and A Serious Man's Fred Melamed, all of whom can easily be envisioned as hilarious/terrifying roadblocks for weed-addled buddies on a mission. Excellent! Lennon, Trejo, and Melamed will be joined by some people you might not be as familiar with, but whose presence alone should not in any way torpedo the promising-sounding H&K3: Amir Blumenfeld from CollegeHumor.com, Richard Riehle from Halloween II, and David Burtka, also known as Neil Patrick Harris's partner. (NPH is in this as well, even though he was killed outside of a whorehouse in the second movie). They join the previously cast Patton Oswalt, most likely playing a buddy of Harold's whose infant daughter gets high accidentally. And did we mention it's all in 3-D?! Vulture previewed the script — in which Harold and Kumar have drifted apart but must work together once again when Kumar burns down a Christmas tree specially grown by Harold's father-in-law — for you back in April. However H&K3 comes out, it already sounds way more fun than working at the Office of Public Engagement.
