According to TMZ, MTV plans to split up Jersey Shore's highly anticipated second season into two seasons, using the second half, back in Seaside Heights, as the series' third season. Naturally, plans for a fourth season are already under way! MTV has reportedly asked The Situation to return, offering him between $27,500 and $45,000 an episode for season four. Currently, he's getting $10K per episode, a small price to pay for his one-liners and GTL-inspired wisdom. [TMZ]
Updated: TMZ is now reporting that the whole cast is on strike, refusing to film the third season until they get better deals, since "the cast feels they can make more money doing appearances for two months, rather than filming the show." Biting the hand that feeds, or just being savvy?
