Song of the Summer: Yep, Still Katy Perry

Were you expecting anyone else? "California Gurls" hasn't budged since the last time we dropped in on the Song of the Summer race and is now in its fifth week at the Hot 100 No. 1 spot. Still hanging around: Drake, B.o.B., Usher, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha. Solidifying their cases: Travie McCoy, Mike Posner, Eminem (with his Rihanna duet, "Love the Way You Lie"), Taio Cruz ("Dynamite" cracked the top ten; Dr. Luke is somewhere smiling to himself). New activity: Kanye West's "Power" debuts at No. 22; Nicki Minaj's "Your Love" is one spot behind; and Enrique Iglesias's "I Like It" hits an all-time high at No. 18. But for now, everyone is playing for second place: Katy Perry's pre-race favorite, which you may well despise by now, has lived up to its commercial potential. For that, at least, she deserves credit.
