In April 2008, Wesley Snipes was sentenced to three years in jail for tax evasion. For the last two years, he’s been out on bail appealing the decision, arguing that the only “reasonable sentence” would be a period of probation. Today his appeal request was denied, even though Denzel Washington, Woody Harrelson, and TV judges Joe Brown and Greg Mathis wrote letters on his behalf, which means he’ll have to serve his time.
