Despite the glut of country music-related awards shows already out there - including CBS’ Academy of Country Music Awards, ABC’s Country Music Awards and CMT’s Country Music Television Awards - Fox has decided to throw its wide-brimmed hat in the ring. The network is set to announce it will launch the American Country Awards, to premiere December 6 from Las Vegas. Fans will vote for the winners, meaning it’s likely this kudos fest will offer yet another chance to marvel at Taylor Swift’s “surprised” face. [HR]
