Apparently The View isn't giving Sherri Shepherd enough to do. Last year, Shepherd supplemented her roundtable gig with a starring role in a Lifetime sitcom that bore her name (we're pretty sure it's been canceled, though the network has never said anything official). Now Vulture hears that Shepherd is mulling some more moonlighting: She's in deep conversations with GSN about taking over as host of The Newlywed Game, following Carnie Wilson's divorce from the show last month. If all goes according to plan, Newlywed will shift production to New York, enabling Shepherd to continue to do The View. A GSN rep had no comment, except to say that it would announce a host in the near future. So maybe there's hope talks with Shepherd will break down and Bob Eubanks can reclaim his throne?
