Universal Pulls Video Content From MTV Websites

MTV.com users looking to watch the “Bad Romance” music video for the 5,745th time are going to have to start venturing elsewhere for their fix. MTV will no longer be carrying most of the video content from Universal, the largest music label, on its websites, after contract talks broke down between music video site Vevo and MTV. Universal Music Group said in a statement that it will be pulling all of its videos from MTV sites and “Vevo would become the primary Web outlet for its music video output.” [Variety]
