Since November 2008, when the first Twilight film came out, vampire-related media — films, TV, books, soundtracks — have earned $7 billion dollars. That’s $3 billion less than all movies made at the box office in 2009, just enough to provide every person on the planet with a little over one vampire dollar, and more than enough to mean we will not be rid of these bloodsucking cash machines anytime soon.
