Weezer’s Album Art for Hurley Is a Big Picture of Hurley

When Weezer announced that their next record would be called Hurley, we jokingly wondered, "Is it a Hugo Reyes concept album?" Turns out, yes, yes it is. At right, please find the actual album art for Weezer's eighth album, due out on September 14. To reiterate, the album art for Weezer's new album, Hurley, will be a picture of ... Hurley. Someone wasn't disappointed by the Lost finale! Rivers Cuomo says of the image, "I just loved this photo of Jorge Garcia — it just had this amazing vibe. We didn't want to do a fourth self-titled record and we knew people would refer to it as 'the Hurley record' even if left it without that title, so we just called it 'Hurley.' No words are on the cover because all we wanted was his amazing face." Be on the look out for a rerelease of Weezer's Raditude, with slightly modified cover art, under the title Vincent. [Spinner]
