Ben Stiller and Edie Falco to Share Broadway Stage

The latest in a spate of Hollywood stars heading to Broadway are Ben Stiller and Edie Falco, both of whom are negotiating to star in next spring’s revival of John Guare’s play The House of Blue Leaves. Stiller actually made his Broadway debut in the 1986 revival of the play, set in 1965 Queens; this time, though, he’ll take on the leading role of Artie Shaughnessy, a “frustrated zookeeper” who dreams of becoming a songwriter. Falco will play his wife, Bananas, a mental institution–bound schizophrenic; She might as well write her Tony speech now. [Deadline]
