Jake Fogelnest was on this week’s Hype Men podcast, and he talked about an infamous scene in Wet Hot American Summer. This is a pretty amazing story: “The funny thing is, it’s based on a true story. I found out after the fact. I was at Sundance Film Fesitval with Wet Hot American Summer cast, and David Wain calls a bunch of us into this condo and says, ‘I want to show you something, I want to show you something’. He puts in a tape of a young boy masturbating. That was the young boy at his summer camp that had actually taped himself jerking off. And David put this on and it was the funniest thing ever, but everyone was sort-of horrified, because he had really brought child pornography across state lines. But, it was hilarious, too.”
