David Foster Wallace Novel Out April 15

David Foster Wallace’s posthumous novel The Pale King, about “an IRS tax-return-processing center in Illinois in the mid-1980s … and a crew of entry-level processors and their attempts to do their job in the face of soul-crushing tedium,” has a cover — designed by Wallace’s widow — and a publication date, April 15. So at least that’s one thing to look forward to on tax day. [ArtsBeat/NYT]
